For Mike Weaver, that has been a part of his journey for many years.

More Than Music

As the lead singer of Big Daddy Weave, Mike Weaver has spent much of his career on stages across the country, but music has always been about more than performing.

His concerts and worship events have also become opportunities to encourage people to care about others and support organizations that serve children, families, and people facing difficult circumstances.

One of his longest-running charitable partnerships has been with World Vision. Big Daddy Weave worked with World Vision for more than a decade, encouraging concert audiences to sponsor children living in poverty. Through those efforts, the band’s concerts helped more than 31,000 children receive support through sponsorship.

Mike and the band also personally traveled to countries including Ecuador, Tanzania, Cambodia, and Armenia to see World Vision’s work firsthand.

There is something that changes when you see someone’s story up close.

It is a mother.

It is a family.

It is a real person who has hopes, dreams, struggles, and a story of their own.

That kind of experience can change the way we see the world—and the way we see one another.

A Heart for People

Mike Weaver has continued to use his music and platform to support organizations that are making a difference.

He has performed at events supporting Renewal Ranch, a ministry that helps men and their families overcome addiction. In July 2026, Big Daddy Weave was featured at Renewal Ranch’s Rally for Recovery, an annual fundraising celebration benefiting the organization’s work.

In 2026, Mike also joined Mission India for two free nights of worship in Michigan. The events brought music, worship, and personal testimony together while introducing audiences to Mission India’s work with children and communities in India.

Another example is The Well Outreach, which provides assistance to families experiencing food insecurity. Big Daddy Weave was the featured musical guest at the organization’s 2026 Night of Hope, a fundraising event created to generate support for families in need.

Each of these opportunities may look a little different, but they all have something in common.

They are about people.

They are about seeing a need and deciding to do something about it.

They are about using what God has given us to help someone else.

And now, Mike Weaver is taking that mission on the road with his family.

Taking His Family Along

In October 2026, the Weaver family will visit Answers for Life in Tucson, Arizona for a fundraising banquet supporting the organization’s work with mothers facing difficult circumstances.

Answers for Life offers practical help and compassionate support to women who may find themselves unsure of where to turn. Their services include free ultrasounds, a prenatal clinic, free doctor consultations, post-abortion counseling, options counseling, and material assistance.

But Answers for Life is about more than a list of services.

It is about meeting a mother where she is.

Spiritually.

Physically.

Mentally.

It is about offering help when she may feel as though she has nowhere to go.

Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give another person is simply letting them know they are not alone.

Galatians 6:2 tells us, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

That is what serving others can look like.

It can be carrying a burden for someone until she is strong enough to carry it again herself.

It can be offering a listening ear when she needs someone to hear her.

It can be providing practical assistance when she doesn’t know how she will make it through the next day.

And sometimes, it can be giving her the courage to believe that there is still hope.

Life Is Worth the Living

The theme of this year’s Answers for Life event is especially meaningful: “Life Is Worth the Living.”

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10).

What a beautiful reminder for a woman who may be facing an unexpected pregnancy, a difficult decision, a painful past, or circumstances she never imagined for herself.

Her life matters.

Her baby’s life matters.

Her story matters.

And she deserves to know that there are people willing to walk beside her.

This is where the work of Answers for Life becomes so important.

It is not about judging a woman for where she has been. It is about meeting her where she is and offering compassion, practical help, and hope for where she can go from there.

When We Show Up, We Share God’s Love

Mike Weaver’s story is a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to separate our faith from the way we live our lives.

We can worship through music.

We can worship through serving.

We can worship through giving.

We can worship by helping someone who is hurting.

And we can worship simply by showing up.

The Bible says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
